Less Talk, More Walk

CoBuLi was born out of necessity - a proverbial light at the end of the tunnel - during those much hated but undoubtedly character-building extended final exam study sessions. Four friends would publicly compile and share things "to do", "MUST do", "I will", "I wish", "I want"... A great idea, and one we couldn't wait to get started on, "once exams are over".

Famous last words. Was it simply a procrastination tool? Defense would plead no, but the sad truth points to yes. A resounding yes. Because it's two whole months later, and not only have we not done all the fun things brainstormed while textbooks lay strewn haphazardly about, we haven't even put those items up in the first place. I take that back. I haven't. Sad. And changing -- now.

My new approach is "less talk, more walk". There will always be something urgent taking up your time, pushing back all those things you want to do. I doubt there exists an absolute opportune time where the universe aligns and all signs point to go. Yet I am guilty, as I'm sure many of us are, of putting things off until that fabled ideal reveals itself.

So I discard "there will come a time when I'll be able to" and replace it with "I will make the time to". Starting with this post. Thank you to those providing encouraging nudges in the right direction. I've jumped in.
