Tattoos and fried honey balls

Today I went to enjoy Greek Day on Broadway between Macdonald and Blenheim. Highlights:

  • Tons of people enjoying the festival despite the cool and cloudy weather!
  • Chicken souvlaki fresh off the grill mmmmm...
  • Lively Greek/Greek-influenced music and dance + belly dancing in front of Chai/East is East
  • Shine, my favourite store in that area, had a one day 20% off everything sale AND free reusable waterproof bags that were also really colourful and whimsical! I got a pair of super bright aqua tights, hehe.
  • Um, I got a "tat" (temporary airbrushed tattoo) at the West Coast Tattoos tent. Deciding on a design and then lining up took forever, but so worth it.

Did you ladies go? Share the highlights of YOUR weekend! :D

twitter

I almost feel like we might want to consider maybe using Twitter rather than cobuli...

Am wavering between "pssh no need, we text each other enough" and "but it would be cool... and we could do twitpics aka sharing pictures"

perhaps the high saturation of techie characters and discourse at this conference is getting to me :D

(hurrah for microblogging)

at a blogging workshop

Currently at a blogging workshop at the 2009 Canadian E-Learning Conference! (Lillooet Room in the Chapman Learning Commons)

Going through the basics of starting a blog, writing a new post, etc. A bit slow, but looking forward to some meatier stuff in the latter half.
